Update CRM based on data coming from forms, an API, or another database

We know the feeling: you have data that lives in one place and you just wish you could it would magically move to your CRM. With Parabola, it's easy to connect other services to your CRM. Do you use a form or survey to collect new leads? Or is there an API or database that you wish you could use to automatically pull in new opportunities? In the example below, we show you how you can very quickly and easily do just this.

As you follow the example, it's important to remember that this is just one example and a mere taste of the power the flexibility you'll have as a Parabola user. This example is meant to help you get started, so jump in and give it a try. If you have any questions, reach out to us and we'll (gladly!) help you get started. 🙌🏾 🙌🏾

Pull data from your favorite sources

Using Parabola, you can directly integrate with many commonly-used services and APIs, but we also support CSV/Excel file uploads. In the provided example, we pull data from Mailchimp (newsletter) and Typeform (survey).

If you can't find the service you use in one of Sources, you can also use the generic API Import step: this step lets you connect to just about any web service with a standard REST API. We're pretty confident you'll be able to plop your data into Parabola, and if you have any trouble you can always reach out to us so we can help you get started.

Let's clean that data!

After we've imported our data into Parabola, we do a few simple manipulations to make sure the data is formatted correctly.

–Before we merge the data together, we Filter and Rename columns to keep data consistent.

–We also use a date comparison (comparing today to when each row in the data was created) – this will allow us to make sure we only include the last 24 hours of data so that we can run this flow every day and be sure we're not duplicating old information. Huzzah!

There are loads of other Transformations that you can use to clean your data, like Date Formatter, Math, or Pivot.

Move your data into your CRM

Okay, so we've pulled in our data from Mailchimp and Typeform, cleaned and manipulated it using Transformations, merged it together, now let's send it to our CRM (in this case, Salesforce).

–First, we Table Merge the data together.

–Next, we filter using Row Filter to make sure we're only including data from the past day (we want this flow to run daily).

–We dedupe just in case there are duplicates and then we send it to Salesforce. Boom!

This would work with any CRM you use: Zoho, Airtable, Hubspot, or something else. If you're having trouble figuring out how to use Parabola with your trusted CRM, give us a shout and we'll help you get started.

Schedule your flow!

For this example, we want our flow to run every day.

–After hitting Publish, we'll set the schedule to run every day.

–However, you can use the scheduler to choose how often you'd like your flow to run (see below!).
