# See the real PDF email before the step sends it

> <p>The Preview tab on <strong>Email a PDF</strong> renders the actual template that goes out, branded or plain text, and it’s the tab the step opens on. <strong>Email a file attachment</strong> and <strong>Send emails by row</strong> have the same preview now. All three take an HTML or Text body: Text shows markup literally and stays the default, HTML sends it as markup. Wide tables and images in an HTML body no longer spill outside the template. Email a PDF’s controls are also split into PDF formatting and Email formatting instead of one long list.</p>
