How do I include the name of a file as a column in the data?
Occasionally file names contain important information that is needed within a Parabola flow. For example, if a flow pulls in files sent from vendors, the name of the file may be the only place where the name of the vendor is listed.
This depends on how the file is imported into Parabola. If the file is uploaded from local file imports, such as Pull from Excel, Pull from CSV, Pull from PDF, etc, then the name of the file cannot be added dynamically into the data. To statically include the name, use the Add text column step to type in the file name, which will be added as a new column.
If the file is imported from an email using the Pull from inbound email step, the name of the attached file can be included in the resulting data. Use the “Additional email fields” section to add the attached file name column.
