Now live: AI-generated process documentation for your Parabola Flows

What has AI done for you lately?

As of today? A whole lot more.

AI can now analyze all of your Parabola Flows and automatically add detailed documentation to every step across all of your processes.

This update brings Flows even closer to being living, breathing process overviews that give our best customers unparalleled visibility into every in-the-weeds step of their process. Gone are the days of outdated SOPs, messy process handoffs, and questions like, “how the #$*@ do I do this in Excel?”

Next time you work on a Parabola Flow, you’ll see that the new “documentation” section of every Step will automatically be filled out as you build:

How it works

Auto-documentation simplifies the process of describing your Flow steps. Here's what you need to know:

  1. AI generates step descriptions automatically when you update a step's settings.
  2. For manual updates, use the "✨ auto-describe" button within a step.
  3. User-written descriptions are preserved unless you explicitly click ":sparkles: auto-describe".

This system balances AI efficiency with human insight, giving you flexibility in documenting your Flows. AI handles the heavy lifting, while you retain control to add context where needed.

Designed for complexity

Auto-documentation is particularly useful for Flows involving multiple branches and/or many Steps, where distinguishing between Steps at a glance is valuable. It’s also useful for Flows that multiple teammates work on together and reference as a source of truth, as the documentation ensures everyone stays on the same page.

Anyone managing processes like multi-warehouse inventory reconciliations, invoice audits, and chargeback calculations should immediately begin seeing their Flows with more clarity.
