Is my data safe using this tool?
Your data never leaves your browser. This tool processes everything locally on your device. No servers, no cloud processing, no data transmission.
What we track (analytics only)
We collect minimal, anonymous usage analytics to improve the tool:
- File upload size: File size only (no content)
- Anonymization details: Number of columns processed and data types selected
- Download size: Size of anonymized file generated
- Event data: File uploaded, data anonymized, file downloaded
We never see or store:
- Your actual data content
- File names or headers
- Any personally identifiable information
- The anonymized results
How it works
- Upload: Your CSV is parsed entirely in your browser's memory
- Process: Anonymization algorithms run locally on your device
- Download: The anonymized file is generated and downloaded directly from your browser
Technical security
- No server uploads: Files never leave your computer
- Memory-only processing: Data is not written to disk during processing
- Secure randomization: Uses cryptographically secure random number generation
