About Prowork

Run your business
without the busywork.

We started Parabola in 2018 with a simple idea: finance and operations teams should be able to transform the way they work without waiting for engineering. We envisioned giving subject matter experts the power of advanced automation—and yes, AI—long before AI was a buzzword. The idea was right. We were just too early.

For years, the market wasn’t quite ready. Businesses were more likely to pass off any technical work to engineering teams than consider alternatives. Then AI flipped that switch overnight.

Suddenly, teams weren’t just open to rethinking how work gets done, they were hungry for it. Our founding vision of putting AI and automation directly in the hands of subject matter experts became consensus.

But keeping pace meant more than bolting AI onto what we'd built. Look at how AI has changed engineering: developers didn't just add AI on the side, they rethought how code gets written entirely with LLMs as core collaborators, not add-ons. We needed the same kind of reinvention for finance and ops. So we went back to the drawing board. We tabled Parabola, a tool we’d poured ourselves into for nearly a decade, and we built Prowork.

Prowork is our first true realization of our founding vision come to life and seeing it in the hands of our customers has been astounding. In a handful of months, Prowork has emerged as the professional-grade AI platform that finance and operations teams that fast-growing brands like WHOOP, On Running, and SKIMS have come to rely on. One AI-native environment where teams can do work, capture how that work gets done, and progressively turn proven workflows into production systems. Paired with our best-in-class (and recently expanded) Applied AI team, Prowork answers the promise of AI adoption at scale and then some.

We were early. Now the world has caught up and we’re excited to welcome everyone to the party.

Founder & CEO

Beliefs we build with.

We’re building more than software. We’re building the infrastructure for how modern finance and operations work gets done. The principles below guide how we build, how we work together, and how we show up for our customers.

Create value.

We are here because of our customers, and we stay here by creating real value for them. In the swirl of meetings, code reviews, and Slack messages, it’s easy to lose sight of that. But the work that matters is the work that makes our users’ lives better. When in doubt, we choose the path that delivers the most value to them.

Weirdly deep.

Subject matter expertise is hard-won knowledge, and critical for making things better. We’re in the business of leverage and dignity and serve a customer base who goes weirdly deep as a profession. When we go deep, everything else works. The people happiest at Parabola are the ones for whom going weirdly deep is second nature: intellectually curious, enthusiastic about the details to the point of being infectious.

Shine a light on operations.

Operations work is often invisible until something breaks. The people who hold it all together have a depth of expertise that’s hard-won and worth celebrating. We build Prowork so that this expertise can be applied to solving problems at scale, not just holding things together by sheer willpower.

Be an “I got it” person.

We value ownership. Anyone can spot a problem. The people who stand out are the ones who take it on, figure out what’s needed, and see it through. “I got it” is more than a phrase. It’s a promise.

We’re always looking for people who care deeply about creating value and love solving hard problems.
