ROI reporting in Parabola
How to automate ROI reporting in Parabola
For many teams, operating as a perceived cost center is all too familiar. Before the rise of automation and AI, opportunities to cut costs and drive revenue were limited and hard to quantify for ops-focused teams. Fast forward to 2025, and teams are building automations that drive five-to-seven-figures in cost savings, and often even accelerate revenue. Yet still, that value can be difficult to measure and report on — especially as new Flows are deployed every day across various teams.
With Parabola’s ROI reporting Flow, you can leverage a tried-and-true formula being leveraged by leading brands and freight forwarders to measure value in Parabola. Gain access to key usage metrics like runs per day across your Flows, and combine these metrics with details around time savings, cost avoidance, and revenue acceleration per Flow run. Use these inputs to clearly calculate and visualize ROI across your automation fleet – broken down by Flow and user to see which automations and teammates are driving the most value.

Why Parabola
As soon as we launched the first component of the automation, we saw an increase in our top-line compliance figure. It’s almost like every week we hit a new all time best.
With this Template, you can quickly report on product ROI by tying business value to usage metrics. After providing some key details like time savings per Flow run, labor costs, and revenue acceleration per run, the Flow will automatically generate a reporting dashboard highlighting things like total annualized cost savings, revenue generated, and value by Flow. The Template is 100% customizable — allowing you to add new inputs and create new views.
- Have an org admin contact your Parabola point-of-contact (Launch or Account Manager) via Slack or email, expressing interest in setting up an ROI reporting Flow.
- The Parabola team will follow up with a link to your reporting Flow including aggregated usage metrics. You’ll also receive a link to a Google Sheet used to capture Flow descriptions and ROI calculation inputs.
- Fill out the Google Sheet with your team.
- Refresh the Google Sheets step in your Flow to update your reporting dashboard.
- Customize the Flow and Google Sheet as necessary — adding new views and inputs.
- Your ROI dashboard will only be as accurate as your input data. Work with your team to ensure there’s accurate data in your Google Sheet, and consider enforcing a due date by which users must update the sheet.
- Use the Missing ROI input alerts card to notify users about Flows that must be updated.
