Trump’s Tariffs: 5 supply chain execs on the path forward

Trade wars, a looming recession, and an over 2x increase to the cost of an iPhone: These are the not-so-casual fears for brands, American citizens, and global superpowers alike in the wake of the rollout of Trump’s long-foreshadowed tariffs.

With a 10% baseline tariff on all imports—plus shocking tariffs on goods coming from specific countries like China and Vietnam (54% and 46% respectively)—brands will be faced with a number of difficult decisions over the coming months: Should they attempt to move their manufacturing over to the US? Will they pass on 100% of the cost to the consumer? What levers do they have to pull to cut costs or mitigate this change in a way that doesn't mean shuttering their doors? Is it worth it to perform HTS classification optimization? How much longer can they reap the benefits of section 321 for goods with origin in China, Mexico, and Canada?

We’re bringing together five experts in the space to give their take on all of the above, and more, this Thursday, April 10th.
