Not everyone who touches a flow needs the same access. A teammate might need to edit it, a stakeholder might just need to see it, and someone outside your team might only need the data it produces. Sharing is how each of those stays true at once.

How it works

Open Share from a flow’s overflow menu or from the navigation bar inside the flow.
A flow canvas with the Share button in the navigation bar at the top right
In the Share flow window, use Share with… to add a teammate and set their permission, then click Share. They’ll get an email alert and can start working with you.
The Share Flow window with a teammate selected and the permission dropdown open on Can view and Can edit, above the team and owner rows and a Copy link to Flow action
Use the same button anytime to review who has access, change permissions, or remove someone. If a teammate isn’t in the dropdown, they’re not yet on your Prowork team:
  • To add them, click Invite someone new to your team at the bottom of the sharing window.
  • If they already belong to a different team, email help@parabola.io.

Permissions

There are two flow permissions: Can edit and Can view.
A shared teammate's permission menu open, describing Can edit as edit, run, and share including integrations, Can view as view the flow and step details without editing, running, or sharing, plus Remove access

Can edit

Editors have full access to the flow. They can:
  • Edit step settings, authentication, Parabola Tables, and visualizations
  • Share the flow
  • Add scheduled runs and triggers
  • Delete the flow
  • Receive all flow status emails

Can view

Viewers have read-only access to the flow. They can:
  • See the entire flow, including step settings and results, but cannot make any edits
  • Create or edit new private views, but cannot edit existing shared views
Viewers cannot share the flow, run it, or delete it. The canvas visibly shows when you’re in view-only mode.

Request edit permissions

A viewer can request edit permissions at any time from the viewer tooltip or the sharing modal. The request goes to editors and/or team admins for approval.

Sharing with your team

Share a flow with your whole team two ways:
  • By sharing. Open the Share flow window and change your team’s permission from No access to Can edit or Can view.
  • By moving. Move the flow into Team flows, which automatically grants your team Can view.

Sharing outside your team

You can’t share a flow with someone who isn’t on your Prowork team, and public links aren’t currently supported. Depending on who you’re sharing with:
  • They have their own account. Copy a snippet: drag a box around the steps (or Shift-click each), then copy with ⌘/Ctrl + C. The snippet appears as text like parabola:cb:610af319a9c54054922e8ace3bc67ee7 that they paste into their own canvas with ⌘/Ctrl + V to auto-populate the steps.
  • They can join your account as a viewer. Add them as a viewer on the relevant flows. Anything already shared with your whole team becomes visible to them too.
  • Neither. Export a table or chart to CSV, or share a specific view.

Transferring flows between accounts

  • Deleting a user prompts you to reassign their flows to another owner.
  • Duplicate a shared flow to become the owner of the copy.
  • To move a flow to an outside account (a client or partner), email help@parabola.io and cc the new owner for approval. Include the destination account email, the flow name(s), and whether you want to retain access.
