Setting Up Triggers to Automate Your Parabola Flow

Now that we’ve built our end-to-end flow in Parabola, the final step is to set up a trigger so the flow runs automatically in the future.

Triggering a Flow in Parabola

There are three main ways to trigger a flow, all found in the top-right corner of the interface:

1. Recurring Schedule (Most Common)

  • Set up the flow to run at a specific time (e.g., every weekday at 8 AM).
  • Can be configured to run as frequently as every 10 minutes.

2. Email Trigger

  • Covered in a bonus lesson below.
  • Often used with an auto-forwarding rule, where receiving an email (with or without an attachment) automatically triggers the flow.

3. Webhook Trigger

  • Used when an external system needs to trigger your Parabola flow.
  • Common for real-time data processing based on external events.
