Send data from any API to Google Sheets
Connect to any number of APIs and send their data to Google sheets. Format the data first to make it more usable in its final destination.
(If you're not quite sure what an API is, follow me).
APIs For Everyone
Perhaps the coolest feature of Parabola is its ability to interact with just about any API. Where once you needed loads of boilerplate code, a server to call the API, and a day's worth of work, now you only need our API Import step. Parabola handles all the heavy lifting, and all you need to do is tell us what to do with your data once we've got it.
In this example, we've built a flow to fetch customer data from Intercom and send it to Google sheets. Sounds simple, but what's cool here is that you can adapt this example to work with just about any API. Just click the 'Customize' button in the upper right corner, double click this API Import, and replace with an API of your choosing!
From Intercom to Google Sheets
The flow itself is pretty simple:
- We bring in data from Intercom using Parabola's API Import step, then flatten it with our JSON flatten step to access some nested sub-fields.
- Next, we trim some extraneous columns with the Column Filter, reformat the dates from unix timestamps to YYYY-MM-DD format.
- Finally, we rename the company column, and send it to Google Sheets using Parabola' Sheets export step.
That's it! We look forward to seeing what you will build. If you have any issues interacting with APIs, reach out to us on chat.
